Mackay Tennis is an avid campaigner and long term supporter of the event. We will be attending again this year (2019) - make sure you come down and say hello.
Have family members and other children look at different sports? Then the day will also highlight sporting organisations, teams and active leisure groups in the one place to provide a ‘one stop information shop’ for everyone in the Mackay region to get involved in the vast array of active opportunities on offer in the region.
Over 100 exhibitors
More Active Zone demonstrations and activity opportunities.
There will be a prize for the best-dressed booth (Mackay Tennis has been known to win this in the past).
Mackay Tennis and our very merry band of volunteers will be there - see you then.

See us in a new light
NEW LIGHTING EVENT - A SUCCESS
Mackay Tennis recently held our "LED Lighting Unveiling" at our fantastic Kippen St Complex (Sept 2019).
This came after a challenging start to 2018 with prior Lighting Contractors. Overcoming some hurdles, Mackay Tennis and in particular our Vice-President Creagh Bagnall continued to rally and develop a new plan in delivering the fantastic LED Lights.
These lights came to fruition and border our courts 1-8, offering outstanding light quality for members and social players.
With completion of this project in (achieved: Sept 2019) our tennis playing community is fortunate enough to have some great quality lights now and into the future.
To celebrate the unveiling was held being co-ordinated by our treasurer/patron Joyce. it was simply an excellent event with our local Mayor Greg Williamson completing the ribbon cutting/switching on of lights.
In attendance was the Simon + Team from Lighting Technology International; Nick from Tennis QLD; Life Members, players and MORE!
We look forward to seeing many players enjoying the new lights in 2019.
Upgrades granted
Mackay Tennis have been successful in acquiring the following grants; Better Community Facilities Grant – Mackay Regional Council $120,000 (April 2017) for lights, National Court Rebate Scheme $10,000 (August 2017) for courts and Stronger Communities Program $14,500 (November 2017) for our kitchen.
New courts (Sept 2016)
Great news, all 13 courts have been resurfaced in rebound synpave and are ready now for play.
